Our farm, l'Arcobaleno (“rainbow”) is situated in the hills of the Tiber Valley in Tuscany, near the borders of Umbria and the Marches. The original 16th century stone farm-house has recently been restored to a large and comfortable retreat. We Welcome families, couples and small groups. Our rooms are ensuite or two rooms per shared bathroom within the villa. We fully believe in offering true “agri-tourism” within a friendly relaxed atmosphere where you feel at ease with fellow guests and with oneself and where interesting conversation flows freely. Evening meals take place in the main kitchen dining area those interested. In the evening we explain numerous tourist trails in the Tuscany, Umbria and the Marches; itineraries that take in rich medieval towns-many birthplaces of famous artists such as Michelangelo, Piero della Francesca, Leonardo Da Vinci among others. We also offer accompanied tour to the extraordinary Montedoglio dam or at the fascinating hermitage of Cerbaiolo, perfect locations for a relaxing picnic.
You may alternate these visits with relaxing excursions on foot or by mountain-bike in the woods surrounding the farm. There is also a sports-centre with a swimming pool and tennis courts a few kilometres away from our guesthouse. L'Arcobaleno is immersed in an old oak and chestnut forest where wild herbes and mushrooms flourish in the undergrowth, and where you may see wild animals in their natural habitat. In our riding school in the presence of qualified instrusctors and guides, we offer a more theoretical approach that allows you to gain an in depth knowledge of the world of the horse and their interaction with people, as regular horse riding lessons. The beautiful surrounding countryside lends itself perfectly to long and relaxing tours on horseback.
